Variation 8 Ikebana - Combined Styles

Variation 8 ikebana involves two or more arrangement styles to form an arrangement.

Sometimes one single arrangement cannot show its beauty by itself but if combined with another, each beauty can be enhanced.

So, in this variation, flowers are arranged in two or more separate containers but the main objective is to achieve harmony as one arrangement.

When harmony is not achieved, the angles of the materials can be adjusted to be more flexible.

A good advice to achieve harmony easily is by using the same materials in both arrangements partially.

So, in variation 8, it can be :

moribana + moribana
nageire + moribana
nageire + nageire

Here is a kakeizu of a variation 8 example, using moribana and moribana combination.

Moribana + Moribana

Flowers : fruit casas and orange gerberras

Nageire + Nageire

Flowers : hypericum berries and purple eustomas

Nageire + Moribana

For this combination, it is easier to show the individuality of the arrangement, because of the different height of each arrangement by nature.
