Upright Moribana Variation 4

This is explaining about the upright moribana variation 4 arrangement. In variation 4, the Soe is removed from the arrangement.

Deriving from the basic upright style moribana, the Shin and Soe's positions are now as follows,

Shin = 15 degrees forward, on the left
Hikae = 75 degrees forward, on the right

Study the kakeizu below.

Prepare the shallow container for this moribana arrangement. Since it is an upright style, the kenzan's position should be at #1 or #3.

The materials I've chosen to demonstrate this arrangement are calla lilies and yellow chrysanthemums.

Firstly, like always, arrange the Shin and Soe.

Then, add on some chrysanthemums to the Hikae.

Then, also add the supporting stems for the Shin.

Your arrangement will look like this.
