Slanting Moribana Variation 6 - Horizontal Style

This explains about the slanting moribana variation 6 arrangement.

In a variation 6 arrangement, the Shin and Soe are lowered to get the horizontal form.

Furthermore, Shin, Soe and Hikae are positioned equally apart. So, this is a 360 degrees arrangement.

The three main stems positions are as follows,

Shin = 45 degrees
Soe = 45 degrees
Hikae = 75 degrees

Let's study the kakeizu below to get a clearer picture.

Then, for this arrangement, a shallow brown ceramic container is prepared. Since this is a slanting arrangement, the kenzan's position is set at #3.

For the materials, I have chosen red roses and white dendrobium orchids.

First, arrange the three main stems.

Then, just add supporting stems for Hikae. Make sure they are well spread all around because this is an all around arrangement.

Later, add some more supporting stems for Shin and Soe.

Here's the completed arrangement.

And here is another example using molucella and pink gingers.
