Nageire Emphasizing On Shape Of Container

This is showing a freestyle nageire emphasizing on shape of container. With that as the theme, we need an interesting container to work with.

I chose a blue ceramic, quite low container. It is an oval shape with a hole in the middle.

The mouth of the container is small, so a kenzan won't fit inside. The flowers have to be inserted directly inside the opening.

Since, the container is oval in shape and we want to emphasize that, I tried to repeat the oval shape in the arrangement.

I used two draceana leaves to create the oval shape. I slit an opening on one leaf and slip the other into it, like this....

As the focal flower, I used a big mauve anthurium.

There are many other interesting ways on how you can emphasize the shape of the container in an arrangement. This is one of it.
