Nageire Emphasizing Color Of Container

This is a nageire emphasizing color of container. So first, pick your container which is interesting in shape or color.

Then, plan to match the color of the container with the flowers that you are going to use in the arrangement.

That is the theme of this nageire. How you plan your color combination is up to you. You can go monologous, analogous, complementary, split complementary or triad.

I chose a tall glass, red glossy container, and I decided to go analogous with this one. So, I picked a sturdy branch of fox face and insted of arranging it vertically, becasue this is a nageire arrangement, I arranged it across the mouth of the container, horizontally.

The branch itself is quite heavy, so making it stand vertically and securely would be difficult.

So, after I placed the fox face branch, I inserted two stems of red anthuriums to create nice curvy lines in the arrangement. Since the fox face branch is quite 'hard', introducing the soft lines of the anthuriums complements it nicely.

Next, I added hypericum berries as fillers. For foliage, I added two monstera leaves, and the two are facing each other. This creates an interesting section in the arrangement.

As a whole, I am happy with the way the arrangement turned out. It looks balanced and the colors are bright and beautiful.
