Here's What A Linear Rectangular Arrangement Look Like

A linear rectangular arrangement emphasizes on lines within a space. It's about how you create and control the lines in that space with the objective of showing the beautiful lines at the same time avoiding the arrangement to become overcrowded.

The space I refer to here is a purposely designed space. For example, in this example, I created a rectangular space using several sticks of wood tied together using wire.

In this space, I have to create and show beautiful lines using flowers.

The materials I'm going to use are

  • heliconias
  • green calla lilies
  • fruit casa
  • pincushion
  • green calathea
  • moss

These materials have very strong characteristics, so positioning them can be a challenge.

First, examine each and every material. What kind of lines do they display? How to create cross lines between them?

This is how I positioned my flowers.

Take a closer look on the cross lines I've created.

The heliconia flower is quite big, so they need to be separated from the other flowers.

The calla lilies have very nice lines. Make sure they are not hidden.

You see although the flowers point in many directions but as a whole, it is one flower arrangement which is showing the beautiful lines.

When people look at a linear rectagular arrangement, thay have to spend more time looking at it so that they can appreciate the lines.
