Best Display Of Creativeness At International Showcase

LAMAN 2008 would not be complete without looking at the International Showcase section.

Florists from Japan, Canada, Korea, Phillipines and Asia Pacific had contributed their ideas and techniques here.

It is not to be missed!

From Asia Pacific...

3 pieces of flower arrangements are displayed in this international showcase. Each with it's own uniqueness.

One is a very advanced fan arrangement, the other is a tall arrangement and the last arrangement is an interpretive horizontal arrangement.

3 different forms, 3 different styles.

From Japan...

From Japan, of course, ikebana arrangements are displayed. 3 ikebana arrangements in similar clay vases that look that 1 grand arrangement.

From Canada...

Canada really pulled it off in this time. 2 showcases will extraordinary details and creativeness.

The first showcase introduces us to the many textures one arrangement can have. You can see the various different styles of arrangement techniques used here.

Let me show you what I mean by extraordinary detail work... Look at how the leaves are folded to make triangular shapes, with white calla lilies inserted in and out of them..

Here's another close-up....Look at how the draceana leaves are used to introduce some movement.

And another one...so instead of just lines, here green apples and white roses are formed to make balls, just to break the pattern.

Another showcase by Canada is this bride mannequin. The bride looks like she is trying to climb up a ladder and decorate a tree.

Her dress is made of birds nest leaves, red anthuriums, red roses and hosta leaves.

You can see some roses, which stem is wrapped with dracena leaves are hanging from the tree.

Very detailed work and really showed us that many things can be done with just simple everyday flowers. I was so impressed by it.

From Korea...

This is the showcase from Korea. The korean symbol is placed on the table, with bended cypress sticks supporting it.

From Phillipines...

Phillipines had presented a table, with flowers arrangements on top and at the side of it. The significant featuer is the weaved leaves.

At the side of the table, is a slightly small arrangement but uses the same materials as the top to make that connectivity.
