Amazing Floral Sculptures At Putrajaya Floria

Apart from the amazing flower arrangement exhibits, there was a section of floral sculptures in the festival.

These are actually big arrangements of flowers following around a theme.

It involves great creativity and techniques to build such sculptures where audience can be amazed from the first time looking at it.

I am one such person. Let's see how you react to these...

This is a cylindrical piece of sculpture using mainly the green/purple cabbage flower or Kale and also whitely sprayed twigs.

It resembles a tree by itself.

This piece uses white ring-shaped color foams. They are inserted by green sphere color foams around each of it using acrylic sticks.

Big monstera leaves are also used to enhance the sculpture. I can say that this sculpture is very minimalist because no flowers are used.

This one creates quite an impact. It resembles a tropical garden with heliconias hanging from top, and bird of paradise looks as if they were grown from the ground.

A lot of tropical foliage are also introduced in this nature-like sculpture.

This one also is a tropical piece. Using green and red anthuriums without any foliage but dried branches, can create a rather interesting sculpture.

The center is an overlapping array of short branches creating a triangular cylinder, getting bigger as it goes upward. By doing this, the creator creates a sense of movement into the arrangement.

This is one of my favourites. It is a collection of semi-spheres placed along tall tristands. The bottom of the semi-sphere are white or purple daisies or dracena leaves.

The top of the semi-spheres are also daisies but with rattan sticks to create lines into the structure instead of just the roundness of the spheres.

At the bottom of the stands, are a group of color foams that looked like they were stones. Around them are decoration of daisies shaped into various sized balls.

This is a 'joker' sculpture, made of red, purple, pink and white roses. The top is large heart shape of red roses that sits on top of leaves that look like the joker's hat.

Very creative and interesting.

This is a floral sculpture that uses white and blue hydrangeas with folded dracena leaves.

Also, at certain parts, you can see green sphere color foams are used. White ribbons are seen draping from the sculpture.

Very limited colors and choice of materials used in this sculpture but it created a nice impression.

We all know this character, Chicken Little. But it's made of white daisies. The body however, is made of dried leaves and arranged so that it looked like a shirt.

You guessed it. Kids love this sculpture the most.

This sculpture resemble a torpedo. Made of dried branches and moss and also dried nuts and vegetables.

A simple stack of color foams, with bird of paradise on top and trailing small flowers.

A flower mermaid sitting on a cart with green apples as wheels. The mermaid's body is made of white daisies.

Below the cart is a bush of foliage with sunflowers.

White cymbidiums, red anthuriums, dracena leaves, fruit casas and twigs come together in this sculpture.

Those are some of the very best floral sculptures from the exhibition. It displays the local florists' creative hand-work and I hope you are impressed with what you just saw.
