Floral Events I Have Visited

Whenever I have the means (this means, $$$), I would certainly visit floral events held in my country or neighbouring country.

It is fun to see the floral displays from the exhibition and the creativity displayed by the participating florists.

Also, by going to a particular event, I get a chance to go for a family holiday, so it is something not to be missed.

It is something that I look forward to every year, and something that I want to share with you, showing you what is going on in the floral industry in this part of the world.

In this page, you can find information about the events that I have visited. You can find pictures that I have taken from the show.

Just click on the particular event that you are interested in, and off you go..

I will be adding more events as I visit them.....so always come back to this page for more updates, OK?

2008 Floral Events

  • 44th Annual Ikebana International Kuala Lumpur Chapter 72 Exhibition

On 26th June 2008, I had the opportunity to attend the annual exhibition of Ikebana International Kuala Lumpur Chapter 72 at Parkroyal, Hotel.

That was the first time I had attended an ikebana show and it was full of class...

Our former Queen was the VVIP of the event. The theme of the event was 'Evergreen' and coincidentally, the Queen wore a green traditional costume.

The event went by smoothly. First, the Queen toured the ikebana exhibits that were on display.

Then, when everyone were seated in the ballroom, the MC started off with the speech from the President, then, Honourable Patron, who is the wife of Japan's Ambassador to Malaysia.

Later on, the speech from the Vice President. Then, the highlight of the day was the demonstration by two Ikebana masters, who were flown specially from Japan.

Master Zayasu Naomi from Kozan School and Master Sunabe Ritsuko from Misyo School.

The day ended with me, smiling all the way home because I got to witness beautiful works of ikebana...
