Fine Dining....Where flowers are more important than food

In this 'Fine Dining' section of the festival , you get to see how flowers are put to work decorating the dining table.

There were 8 beautifully decorated dining tables on display, contributed by reknowned florists around the world.

The first one, as you can see here, carries a 'teenage girl' theme. Theme color is pink and the flowers are mainly pink gerberras and white daisies.

Around the table are pink feathers that creates the 'glamorous' feel.

As highlight of the decoration, is a shoe made of floral foam and decorated with pink gerberras.

The next one is carries a winter theme.

As you can see from the theme color, which is white with a little bit of blue.

Next, is rather bold, because it is black and white. White cymbidiums are cleverly used with white cotton to give volume to the decoration.

Along the center of the table, runs spiral loops where the cymbidiums where used together with some crystals.

The following dining table decoration is deep red in color. The creator seems to like flower balls a lot.

There are two big balls on the center of the table, and several smaller balls surrounding it.

Here is a close-up of what's on the table.

Where's my plate? (Just kidding...)

Next, is a dining table with an oriental theme. Decorations are very simple. Centerpieces with lotus are mainly used.

This one is also rather interesting. The flowers balls on top of the table are white dendrobiums, green pompoms and pink carnations.

To make each ball connected to one another, the creator uses a long strand of pearls, which introduced lines into the decoration and made it look more interesting.

The top decoration that looked like chandeliers are made of white rose petals.

Here is a closeup of the flower ball.

The last dining table on display has a 'nature' theme. It is surrounded by dried branches that made it look like it is in a garden.

You can see green apples hanging at the back, together with an armature made of dried twigs.
