Elegant Wedding Bouquet Ideas And Pictures

What is an elegant wedding bouquet and how can you make one?

An elegant wedding bouquet will have something very unique in design, a distinct shape and a very eye-catching detail. It may not have a lot of flowers but the bouquet will still look elegant.

Another defintion is (in my opinion), to have the flowers in the bouquet stand out at its very best to make the bouquet stylish. For example, if you are using calla lilies, be sure to use them as creatively as possible to show off their beauty in the bouquet and you will be successful in creating an elegant wedding bouquet.

You will see from each of the bouquet below that some detailing work is required to make it stand out.

Here is a bouquet in the shape of a ball, made of green pompons with green pearls. On top of the ball, are green anthuriums. The bride will have to carry the ball just like that with one hand or two hands. This is the uniqueness of this bouquet.

Here is a small sweet bouquet, made of several layers. At the most top layer are light purple orchids, at the bottom layers are freesias, white pompons and lavender pearls.

This elegant bouquet uses the layering technique. The leaves are layered to form the bouquet border and shape. The bouquet holder is also wrapped with the same type of leaves.

At the top are narcissus, green pompons and white moth orchids. As the final touch, use strands of pearls all over.

Here is a round bouquet with a trailing detail. The round bouquet is made of white and red lisianthus. They are arranged in a beidermeier style, white blooms at the bottom, then red blooms and the buds on top. From the bouquet, comes the trailing rolled leaves and lisianthus buds. The buds were also added here for continuity from top to bottom.

See the interesting texture created by the rolled leaves? That itself is an attractive feature for this bouquet. Just decorate with orchids, veronica and some vines.

This bouquet has a weaved square structure attached to it. It is prepared beforehand and attached slantingly to the bouquet. Then, decorate with pink peonies, eucalyptus seeds, wax flowers and some foliage.

Some tips on how to make your bouquet elegant

1. Apply flower arranging techniques into your bouquet.

Apply the flower arranging techniques you have learned in your bouquet, like the ideas shown above. Weave leaves, roll leaves, grouping of flowers, etc and set your bouquet apart, let your bouquet tell your story.

2. Add sparkle and glitter

By sprinkling gold dust, or add embellishments like gemstones or crystals, the appearance of your bouquet will be immediately lifted and look elegant.

3. Make sure all designing elements are present

Make sure the bouquet fulfills the design requirements. It must have good texture, good color combination, good shape/form and good lines are introduced into the bouquet. Only then, you will find your bouquet very pleasing to look at and if successful in flower choices, become an elegant wedding bouquet.
