A basket of fruit and flower is also a great gift for a friend in the hospital. Express your concern by sending her a lovely fruit and flower bouquet. The flower arrangement will certainly brighten up the room. If it can cheer her up, even better. She'll be grateful to you.

A basket of fruits is also a great decoration for your dining table. Put a basket of fresh fruits at the centre of thetable. Or on the kitchen cabinet in your kitchen. Your kitchen will look alive and subconsciously you will feel like cooking something special for your family.

If you like to make an edible fruit bouquet on your own, you can.

Making A Fruit Bouquet Is Easy

The fruit bouquet that I'm going to show you is a basket decorated with fresh flowers around it so that you can put the fruits inside.

You can choose any fruit you would like to give as a gift.

The first thing you have to do is prepare :

  • a wicker basket (with handle or without handle depending on you)
  • fruits of your choice
  • a plastic wrapper
  • ribbons (colour of your choice)
  • floral foam
  • wire
  • red roses
  • fruit casa
  • white wax flower
  • english ivy
  • red berries
  • pink spray roses
  • red carnations

Prepare the basket. Cut a block of presoaked foam in 6 pieces of equal shape and size.

Wrap each piece with plastic wrapper and wire each at the side of the basket, like this.

Here's your basket from the top.

Now, we start arranging the flowers. The guide to arranging the flowers is using the grouping technique.

Group together the same type of flowers. Don't mix all the flowers or else the character of the flowers will not show.

For example, red carnations are grouped together. So are the fruit casas.

Red roses are grouped together.

The pink spray roses are grouped together also.

Lastly, take the english ivy and wrap around the basket. Secure them using floral wire.

And don't forget, place a plastic wrapper inside the base of the basket for your fruits.

If you want to tie a ribbon, you may.

There you have it. Your own edible fruit bouquet.

From the top view...

See how simple that was?

Send the edible fruit bouquet to your friend and surprise her. She'll remember you for it.
