My Ebook Review On 'Floral Design Secrets'

Here is my review on 'Floral Design Secrets'. I hope it would it would be informational for you.

To make it even simpler for you, I've summarized my review in 3 main points.

To skip my review and want to find out the contents of this ebook, click here.

So here goes.

#1 - Easy to understand explanation

Describing things that are abstract is very difficult. Let alone, making another person understand, especially if that person has zero knowledge on the subject.

But the author of the ebook has done it well. Terms in floristry are nicely explained, even a beginner can understand.

Especially in Chapter 1, where he discusses about the design and color in floristry. And also, in chapter 4 where he introduces the simple flower arrangements for beginners.

#2 - Full of valuable tips on how to handle flowers

For every floral designer, learning the basics is very important, including learning how to handle flowers, which is the basic before designing them.

Chapter 3, provides valuable tips on this. For instance, how to stop the bleeding of stems after cutting them.

The author tells you to put the stems in hot water and later take it out and soak it in cold water. Another method is to hold the stem over a flame of a candle for 12 seconds.

The author even tells you which flowers are suitable for which method.

This kind information, can only be obtained from an expert.

#3 - A full chapter on foliage

There are many floral design boks out there and less emphasis is given on foliage or leaves. Foliage plays an important part in floral designing, too.

The author knows this, and have dedicated a whole chapter on foliage.

What types of foliage is available and which foliage is suitable for what kind of arrangement is also provided.

There are other good points of this ebook too besides the ones I've described above.

If you love decorating your house with flowers, the chapter on table decorations and holiday decorations will inspire you.

Chapter 6 will teach you how to set the mood of your interior using flowers. The author presents ideas like calla lilies for the coffee table and daffodils for bookends.

For those who are more challenging, there is a chapter on ideas to make your own floral containers. It gives you ideas to use items around the house to make containers.

We would never have thought that the thing that has been sitting there, collecting dust all this while can be turned into a lovely container. This is a great section.

Bottomline, this book is for everyone. From the beginner to the hobbyist to the professional.
