Christmas Tree Decorating Is A Family Event

Every year, christmas tree decorating is very much awaited by members in a family. Christmas tree decorating should involve family members and should be fun.

It's fun because once you know how to do it, many ideas come to mind as how to decorate the christmas tree the coming year. You get to use your creativity andyour children's creativity to decorate your christmas tree.

By decorating your own christmas tree, you make your christmas more meaningful, memorable and special.

Friends coming over for a visit will be impressed with your decorating ideas. Not only that, you get to spend quality time with your family while doing it.

Tips To Decorating Your Christmas Tree

The main elements of a christmas tree are lights, garland and ornaments.

The first step is to decorate your Christmas tree with lights. Every Christmas tree needs basic white lights. You can also get more colourful lights if you want.

What you should do is wrap the strand of lights around the tree, starting from bottom and work your way to the top.

Don't forget to place some lights near the trunk of the tree for a more beautiful appearance. After you've finished, take a look at your christmas tree and check for any dark spots. If there are, make sure you repair it.

The next step is to drape your garland. There are many ways to drape your Christmas tree using a garland.

  • You can drape it in a circular way with one long garland surrounding the tree from top to bottom, or maybe drape another garland the same opposite way.

  • You can also start from the top and slowly drop your garland and make your way to the bottom. You need multiple strands of garland to surround your tree. Work all around the christmas tree until it looks balanced from whichever angle you look at it.

  • Make waves out of the garland horizontally around the tree. That means you have several layers of waves around your tree.

Perhaps, you have a better idea on how to decorate your tree using garlands. Try, experiment and see how it looks. If you like it, go for it.

Either way, I'm sure your tree will look lovely if you put your heart while doing it.

The next step is to decorate your tree with ornaments as such to give out the best glitter and sparkle. You should get multiple sizes of ornaments to give the tree a full look.

The ornaments should be well balanced around the tree with the larger ones at the bottom. Some should be hung near the trunk to give it a 3D effect.

Leave it hanging and avoid them touching the branches because it will spoil the natural look.

The last step would be to place the top ornament on top of your christmas tree. And you're done!

Be sure to place your christmas tree in a spot where it is most prominent. Avoid placing it near a fire source.
