How To Make A Calla Lily Centerpiece

This DIY video by florist Trish Haunton shows you how to make a basic calla lily centerpiece in a goldfish bowl.

After mastering the steps in this video, you will be able to apply this basic design to make your own unique centerpiece.

You can add more flowers into the design, or you can try to use other similar flowers to create this centerpiece.

A good choice will be the dendrobium orchids because of its long structure.

Hope you will find this video beneficial.

How To Make A Floral Centrepiece

Duration : 01:31mins

What You Need :

  • A goldfish bowl with a 38cm diameter
  • 10 stalks of calla lilies
  • Scissors
  • Ruler or Measuring tape

The Steps

1. Measure your callas, from the end of the stem to the tip of the flower.

2. Using the scissors, cut the callas to 70cm. Always cut them on an angle for maximum water absorption.

Tip! Add half a cup of water to keep the flowers fresh.

3. Gently bend the flowers into the fish bowl with the stem at the bottom. Curve the stem around the fish bowl. Be careful not to break the stem.

4. Once a few flowers are in, start by placing the calla in the desired position and bend the stem in after. Ensure there are no major gaps.

5. Continue until all ten blooms are in and arranged in a sweeping fashion.

6. Place the arrangement on your table for an artistic and stylish centerpiece.
