Let's Learn How To Make An Aster Pomander Bouquet
Follow the steps below to make an aster pomander bouquet. Some brides prefer to carry a bridal pomander instead of the traditional bridal bouquet. It is actually an arrangement of flowers shaped into a ball. Some call it floral globe. Making one is very easy. You can choose any flower you like. In this example I'm going to show you, I use yellow asters and babies breath. You can create all kinds of look with different types of flowers. The materials you need are only - a cube of foam (about 1.5" in length)
The method to do it is very easy. First, you wrap the cube foam with chicken wire. Make sure the foam is presoaked in water. At one side, tie a ribbon to it. This would be the holder. Next, cut the flowers in short lengths. Insert the asters first. It would be best to work on the bridal pomander if it is hanged on something else. While it is hanging, insert the asters at 12, 3, 6 and 9 o'clock. This is to establish the basic shape. Next, just insert the asters all around the cube until they are well distributed. Make a ribbon and tie it to a floral wire. Insert the ribbon near the ribbon holder. Then, just fill in the spaces with babies breath. Please control the shape as in maintaining the roundness. Do not make it into an oval shape. Now, you can use the aster pomander bouquet on your wedding day. It's so easy.
