A "tee"rific bouquet

by Peggy

A "tee"rific bouquet

A co-worker and avid "golf nut" approached me about making the flowers for her wedding. But before I talk about the flowers and my ideas about making them, I must tell you the way in which she was asked for her hand in marriage.

Her fiance another "golf nut" didn't "choke" the least bit when he proposed to her on the ninth hole of their favorite "links." Of "course" she said yes, and they decided it only seemed natural (to them at least) that they get married on that hole as well. And so they did.

They and their "foursome" actually played up to the 9th hole where they paused long enough to exchange vows and then finished the round.

Afterward they celebrated at their second favorite hole - the nineteenth and shared a "slice" of wedding cake with their guests!

It's safe to say theirs was a "match play" game!

Now about the flowers...golf theme it is! I found a miniature golf club that was made to scale and weight, that I adorned with green and white flowers. I also used a very small golf bag complete with removable clubs for her groom's boutonniere. I used golf tees in all her flowers to tie them and the golf theme together. And when I was finished, I had scored a big "hole in one" with the floral arrangement!
